I’m Laura Dieckhoff, a school psychologist with a Doctoral and Master’s degree in School Psychology from Adelphi University. I am currently a school psychologist in the North Babylon School District, where I support young adults as they navigate through their journey from adolescence to young adulthood. My work focuses on goal setting and identifying the resiliency of individuals and their families. I have a strong interest in crisis management, working with those experiencing anxiety and depression, and advocating for individuals with disabilities.
I am a passionate and empathic individual who strives to make the most out of each day. My focus is on meeting people where they are socially and emotionally, and assisting adolescents and young adults in developing the necessary skills required to achieve success throughout their lives.
In session, I am committed to developing an inclusive, safe, and supportive environment that centers around evidence-based interventions and techniques, and family collaboration. Together, we will develop skills and goals that focus on ability, resiliency, and confidence. My experience working with children, teens, and adults has allowed me to develop a therapeutic style that is grounded in self-evaluation, action planning, and growth. My ultimate aim is to help individuals develop to their fullest potential through hard work and self-exploration.
